ditics will play a part in its columns altogether subordi
nate to its news, business aud commercial character. To
its commercial department, especially, will tho most assid-
attention continue to bo given. The roputation which
it has already established for thb accurucy, fullness and
ie»s of its cotton tables, cottou statements and mar
ket report*, it shall lie our endeavor to increase and extend.
