cess) on the FIRST DAY OF NOVEMBER NEXT, under tho
immediate and personal direction of the Trustees. A well
qualified Principal nnd five Instructors will he appointed
by the Ilonrd of Trustees. Instruction will be given in the
Classics, in Mathematics, and iu all the branches of a
thorough English education. Particular attention will he
paid to tlie instruction of youug ladles in all tho higher

same. That from and after the passage of this act. all
persons shall be qualified tovoteat elections for Mayor and
Aldermen of the oily of Savannah and the hamlets thereof,
who ure citizens of tho United States, have resided in ttie
Stnte of Georgia for onn yenr immediately preceding tho
election and within the corporate limits of Savannah for
one month immediately preceding their registration, and
continue so to do up to tho time ol election, who have at
tained thengo of twenty one years, have paid all taxes or
have in their own right sufficient real estate to satisfy any
tax executions which may be against them, who have made
all returns required by the ordinances of the city. nnd have
been registered according to the provisions of this act.—
