The printed schedules may ho seen at the respective
navy-yards, or at the navy agents’ office* nearest thereto ;
and will be forwarded by the navy agent for the particular
yard nearest to his ofllco.or by the bureau, for any ytnxf
upon application, stating the cla**es and tlio yard* for
which the applicants desire to offer.
The schedules will stato the times within which the ma
terials will be required to be delivered.
All the articles which may be contracted for must be de
livered at such place or places, within the navy-yards re
spectively for which the offer Is made, a* may be "directed
by the commanding officer thereof.
It is to be provided in the contract, and to bo distinctly
understood by the bidders, that the amount and number of
nrticles enumerated in classes headed "Miscellaneous” are
specified as thejirobalte quantity which may be required, a*
well as to (lx data for determining the lowest bid ; but the
contractor!* to furnish more or less of said enumerated ar
tides, and in tuck quantities amt at tuck lime <u (Ac bureau
or commandant may require, (and requisitions sent through
the post offlee shall be deemed sufficient notlco.) during
the fiscal year ending 80th of June. 1856 ; and whether the
quantities required be more or h ss than those specified, the
prices shall remain the same.
All the articles under thu contract must be of the beat
quality, delivered in good order. I'reo of all aud erery extra
charge or expense, and subject to the inspection, count.
