minate in the following March. Preliminary Lectures will
he delivered from Monday, the 10lh day of October, until
the commencement of the Regular Course, for which no
additional fee will be required. Students have free access
to the Medical and Surgical Wards rf the Savannah Hospi
tal. This uxtonsive charity Is under the medical control of
two members of the Faculty, by whom Clinical Lectures
are delivered. In addition to this, they have amnia oppor
tunity for learning practical medicine at the College Clin
ique. which is open daily to patients.
During the past session upwards of two hundred cases
were prescribed for, and over thirty surgical operations per
formed in the the presence of the students at the Clinique.

T HE Commissioners of the Walthourville Academy, de
sire to obtain the services of a competent principal,
for the school at the above place, which will be opened on
the 1st January next, for the accommodation of as many
scholars as may please to connect themselves with it. The
school will now number about sixty scholars, with every
prospect of increase under efficient management.
The principal will have the control of all or the depart
ments. with the proceeds of tuition accruing from thorn.—
He will be furnished with a pleasant and capacious resi
dence, embracing eight line rooms, sufficient for boarding
his assistants and some pupils from a distance. He will
be expected to furnish a female teacher for that depart
ment, subject to the approval of the Commissioners. The
department of music can be organized and supplied as soon
after the opening of the school, ns tho number of music
scholars can bo ascertained
The rates of tuition will be subjected to the approval of
the Commissioners. A small rent for the use of the
buildings, simply sufficient for keeping the grounds and
lots in repair, will be paid annually by the principal to the
Board.
The Board will simply remark, that every facility for the
establishment of a first-rate institution, under onterprising
and energetic management, ia now afforded. In point of
health, religious, social and moral advantages. Walthour-
villo is unsurpassed by pny place in Georgia, while the
Railroad which will soon pass through tho village, will
place it within the easy reach of the surrounding country.
