Section l. Be it ordained, That no person shall let, or
drive, for hire, any cart, dray, wagon, or other carriage,
within the city, without having obtained a license for so
doing from the City Treasurer, for the time being, who
shall number th* udi, and register the same, and for
which license the sum of $7 for each one horse dray. 810 '

ed by ordinance passed 20th December. 1840, #e Intended

in case any cart, wagon, dray, or other carriage, shall be
