Among the numerous discoveries Science ha* mad* in

than this contribution of Chemistry to the Healing Art.—
A vast trial of it* virtue* throughout thi* broad country,
h*s proven beyond a doubt, that no medicine or combina
tion of medicines yet known, can so surely control and
cure tho numerous varieties of pulmonary disease which
have hitherto swept from our midst thousand* and thous

believe a Remedy lisa at length been found which cen be
relied on. to cure the most dangerous affection* of the
lungs. Our space here will not permit ue to publish any
proportion of the euros affected by Its u«e, but we would
present the following, and refer further enquiry to my

J. C. Aykr. Dear Sir : My little son, four years old has
just recovered from * severe attack of malignant Scarlet
Fever; his throat was rotten, and every person that viiit-
ed him pronounced him a dead cLUd. Having used your
Chxhrt Pectoral in California, in the winter or 1860, for a
severe attack of Bronchitis, with entire tucces*. I wa* in
duced to try it on my little boy. I gave him a tea-ipoonfui
every three hours, commencing in the morning, and by
ten o'clock at night. I found a decided change ior the bet
tor, and after three day# o*e, be was able to oat or drink
without pain.
Its use in th* above named disease will savo many a
child from a premature grave, and relieve the anxiety of
many a fond parent. For all affectlone of the Throat and
Lungs, I believe it the best medicine extant. A fooling of
tho <le«|iest gratitude, prompts me in addressing you thee*

would now have been in the other world.
