The English accounts say that tbe Russians re-
passed the Balaklava with a loss of 1000 men.
The attack on Sebastopol from sea was not renewed.
The bombardment was vigorously prosecuted
Fort Constantine and the Southern Tower were de
molished. Tho Tower was on Are in three places.—
A private despatch says Sebaatopol was carried by
assault on the 3d instant, other accounts say that Se
bastopol was in ruins. The French Chesseurs kill all
the Artillery men that show themselves. A shower
of balls poor forth all night, leaving tbe Russians no
time to repair disasters.
Tbe Russian ships sought shelter inside the Qnar-
rys, but tbe allies poured hot shot into them. The
oapture of Lord Dunklin by the Russians is confirmed.
Large French and English reinforcements are go
ing ont to blow up tbe ships that are sunk in tbe
mouth of the harbor. 120 gun boats and 40 floating
batteries havo been ordered to the Baltic.
