A Jotter which appeared in the London Times over
the slguaturo of Dr. Granville, a physician of some
eminence, lias attracted notice. Dr. Granville had
once been Lord Palmerston’s medical attendant, ntnl

tersburg, where be bad medical introductions to tbe
Imperial Court.
In the mouth ot July, 1S53, he addressed a confi
dential letter to Lord Palmerston .and which he(Gr.ui

he stated that having formed a careful prognosis of
the state of health of tw Emperor Nicholas, he bud
come to the condition that bo would die suddenly
in the 59th year of his age. At an intirview with Lord
