The President of the Club iu an eloqueut speech, congratulated Mr. Uuehanan on his nomination by the Democratic Convention, and hailed him as the nations choice. Mr. Buclmuan replied: Gentlemen of the Keystone Clubl congratu late you, not upon my nomination, but upon the glorious termination oi the l«\>or» of the Con vention. I am indeed proud of it, aud shall long cherish the pleasant recollections with regard to it. 1 was selected as their choice, but had that choice fallen upon any other I would have clierlhlly yielded to the will of the majority, lie concluded by a hearty approval of the plat form put forth by the Convention. After a personal introduction to the members of the Club, he invited them into refreshments. —When they left, Mr. Buchanan escorted them some distance* trom Wheatland, aud gave them a friendly parting. His acceptance goes out by the same mail which carries this letter. Mr. F. endorses tho general principles of the platform, and condemns nil sectioual agitation. Alex. Duncan presided. The resolutions were offered by Prof. Caswell. Dr. Hedge, Prof, flammell, Charles S. Bradley, Dr. Wayland and Thomas Davis ad dressed the assembly. A very deep feeling was manifested. The sentiments of the speeches aud resolutions, which were calm, temperate and firm, were warmly responded to. Am ion Kansas.'—Won otter, (Mass.)
