undertbe Act of the General Assembly of the
State of Georgia, entitici “An Act to authorize
Limited Partnerships,” assented to the twenty-se-
oond day of December, in the year 1827: to be con
ducted under Uie name of Carl Epping, for the pur
pose of transacting a Commission and General Mer
cantile business In tbe city of Savannah and State of
Georgia.
Carl Epping, of Savannah, will be the general
partner, and George W Garmany, of Savannah,
who has contributed Fifty Thousand Dollars, in
cash, to Iho common stock, will be special partner.
The jusincss to commence the first day of August,
in the ytar eighteen hundred and fifty-six, and to
terminate oathc first day or August eighteen fifty-
nine.

the Richmond and Danville cars at Richmond, at 6
A. M., daily, (Sundays excepted,) arrive at Lynch-
burg to dinner, aud thence, via the Virginia and
Tennessee Railroad, reach Bonsack’s Depot at 3 1-4,
and Salem at 4 P. M., and at either place toko

Those via Bonsack’s lodge at Kiucostie, dine at the
Red Sweet, or Sweet Springs, aud arrive at tbo
White Sulphur Springs, (17 miles) early ou the

miles of Staging. Or by the Salem route, stop all
night at tho Roanoke Red Sulphur Springs, (10

Tho Virginia A; Tennessee Railroad U located
through a most romantic country, possessing a cli
mate unsurpassed for its salubrity and delightTultcm

And within three miles of the Alleghany Springs,
one mile of the Montgomery White Sulphur Springs,
and within four miles of the Yellow Sulphur Springs ,
all pleasantly situated a few miles apart, on the
Eastern slope of the Alleghany mountain, in Mont
goincry county. The waters of these Springs are
celebrated for their great medicinal qualities, tbe ac>
commodations are excellent, and have been greatly
increased since last season.

Kent, Summcraon At Co's Stages at Ncwberu Depot,
on tbe evening or the day that they leave Peters
burg or Richmond, and arrive at the Springs on the
following day to dinner, and Salt Sulphur Springs
early in the evening or the second day from Rich-

Tbe Road from Newbern Depot to the Red Sul
phur Springs, (38 miles,) has beeu graded uuJ
greatly improved since last season, and is now re
garded asone of the best turnpikes in tho moun
tains.
Tho line or Telegraph from Richmond will be com
pleted and in operation to the Mootgomery White
Sulphur Springs early in June,

or tba Virginia A: Tenne^-see Raiiroad, now 180 miles
from Lynchburg (and being extended Wostward at

Intense heat to which it had been exposed. Ou open
ing the Safe, the contents were found undisturbed,

ends of a few papers, and tbe backs of oue or two of
he books, caused by the steam generated in the
Safe, while at its gTeatesi heat
The Sate and contents, as it calbo from the ruins,
may still be Seen, in the possession of Mr. Thomas,

ful experience. The building which is to bo erected
for her use will contain every accommodation; Tho
village aud surrounding country are distinguished
for heaithfulness and beauty, and the subscriber has
confidence that parents who entrust their daughters
to Miss Eastman will have no reason to regret it.”
Miss Kastman will bo aided by au efficient corps
of fnacliers.
Tlie French language will be taught und spoken
by a Parisian lady, residing in tho family.
Tho Latin, German, Spanish aud Dalian languages
will receive due uttcutiou.
Tho Natural Sciences will be taught, with tho aid
of a large and expensive apparatus.
Tho Musical Department will bo under tbe charge
ora lady eminently qualified to fill the situation: aud
all preferring a male teacher ou the Piano or in
Singing, can havo the beuellt of a Visiting Teacher
from Philadelphia.
Drawing and Paiutiug will bo uu4er the direction
or a lady accomplished In Uiu art.
Tho numbor of pupils is limited to forty.
Tho Terms for Board and Tuition iu all tho branch
