Sec. 1. Bo It ordained by tho Mayor and Alder-
mon of tho City of Savanuah and tho Hamlets there-
of in Council as cinbted, aud it Js here by ordained
by tho authority of the same, That from aud after
the passage or this Ordlnnnco tho salary or tbo
Health Officer ho at tho rate of five hundred dol
lars.
Sec. 2. Bo it farther ordained by tbo Mayor aud
Aldermen or tbo City of Savannah and tbo Humlcto

dnlucd by authority of tho Fame, That tho fees of
tho Health Officer (which shall bo puid by tbe
owner, muster, or consignco of any vessel) shall

For boardtng any vessel lying at the quarantine
ground, at Fort Jackson, two cents a ton up to 600
tons, beyond which no additional fee shall bo
charged. In care of a visit at night tho fees charged
shall uo double the proceeding; aud all oxpeuses
Incurred for boarding any vessel shall ho paid by
tho Healtli Uificor, oxcept that Iho city will furnish
a quarantine boa'. '
For visiting and Inspecting a vessel which has
been subjected to quarautine, aud giving a permit
to como up to the city, five dollar*.
