black lace veil; and that you may more easily
distinguish me, wiU hold a flower in my band.
I wish you to come ap and address me by my
name, although 1 tbiuk it would bo better to
watch my coming, (I will be punctual) and
spt ak before I enter the room. I will then take
u walk with you up Broadway, or, ir not too
cold, on the Battery. If the weather should
prove unfavorable tomorrow, or anything
should occur to prevent my coming. I shall uot
bo able to see .von on Friday, but will meet you
at the same time ou Saturday; or should that
be stormy, ou the first fail day following.

last letter, the writer begs leave to inform him
that she will be pleased to see him on Tuesday

In regard to Mr. Stanley’s remarks concerning
first impressions, disappointment, Ac., Ac., tho
writer will merely udd tbut iu the opinion or a
high-minded woman, a gentleman’s attractions
consists iu his high moral character, his good
sense, refinement, Ac., Ac.'These attributes,
delineated ou tho face of the possessor or as
they usually are. render it Huffioiently attrac
tive. The lady ulso anticipates a disappoint
ment on the gentleman’s part, for bis ardent,
poetical Imagination has possibly iivested her
with personal beauty, und therein sho will "be
found wanting,” as nature has given her only u
