SAPTAIN Graves, in his Britannick Ma* jefty’s lhip the Antelope, in his paflage from Newfoundland, with the fifh (hips under his convoy, met with the Marl . borough man of war, Capt. Burnet, which in her voyage from the. Havana had sprung a lealc j and the Blip’s com pany, which had been for several days in great diltrefs, were obliged to leave her, and go on hoard the Antelope, which arrived yeftarday in this harbour. * His Moft Serene Highness Prince Charles of Mecklen burg took his leave of the King and Queen of Portugal, and all the Royal Family, on Sunday; and yesterday the Count de Oeyras waited on his Highness, and presented him, from the King of Portugal, with his Majesty’s pifture very richly set with diamonds. His Moft Serene Highness is preparing to embark in a few days on board the Venus for England. Whitehall , Dec. 27. The King has been pleased to con* ftitute and appoint tne Right Hon. On tbe 13th inst. Admiral Sir George Pococke arrived at Plymouth, in his fhip Namur, from the Havana, having been separated at sea from the other Blips of his squadron. Jan. 18. By letters received last night from Corke and Kinfale, froth Capt. Barton, of his Majeity’s ship Devon- Afire, and others, there is an account of the following lhips (part of those which failed from the Havana with Admifal Sir George Pococke) being arrived at those ‘places, viz. Devonshire, 66 guns, Capt. Barton ; Infanta prize, 70 guns, Capt. Elphinfton; St. Janero prize, Capt. Dickson ; Aflumption prize, Capt. Randal; with 11 fail of transports. The Gofport is also arrived at Corke, with 60 fail of merchant fliips under convoy, from Virginia. [Jbus far London Gazette. Mofanv, December 6. On the 15th arrived in the Bay an Eng. liih cartel (hip from the Havana, with 99 passengers, and this morning arrived another cartel (hip with 116 persons on board, including 17 Officers. The court has ordered thefeatnen who were taken at the Havana to be paid their* wages. Letters received front Madrid advise, that the Governor °V he ™ a ac * cnt iely juftified his conduft there, and a Spamfti journal of the siege of that fortrefs is publiffied. Hague, December £4. The paflage of the Britifli troops through the territories of this state is at length agreed to and regulated. They will come by land to Williamftadt, where they will fucceflively embark; and the horses of the cavalry will be fold when the men go on board. I he French are disbanding great numbers of their troops, . * Kihg °f Sardinia is already a very considerable gainer in consequence of the pains taken by him in bringing about peace. His Moft Christian Majesty has procured for him the commodious pdrt, the impregnable fortrefs* and the intire principality of Monaco, which has been 700 years in the poffeflion of the family of Grimaldi, and under the protection of France since the reign of Lewis the XIII. Genoa, Dec. 23. Letters from Madrid confirm the news of France’s ceding a part of Louisiana, with Ncw-Or!eans, and the whole island, to his Catholick Majesty. Hamburg , Dec. 3 1, His Prussian Majesty will have an ar* my of 200,000 men at the opening of the campaign. Munster, January 15. The Marquis of Granby is perfectly recovered m>m his illncfs, and is expected here to-morrow* ‘in his way to England. Hamburg, Jan. 14. It does not appear that the conferen ces in Saxony, for fettling the peace of Germany, are likely to answer the wi(hcd-for end. Berlin, Jan. 21. The preparations for the ensuing cam* paign arc going on here as well as in Saxony, though all the letters from Leipfick mention, that it was believed the conferences at Hubertlburgh would end happily.
