Several courts, that of France amongst others, which has particular reasons for being attached to that of Warsaw, waits only for the resolution of that republick, to take part in favour of the Prince of Sax ony, and to make Russia depart from the obstinacy with which that power, without any plausible co lour or pretext, has undertaken to strip thefon of a monarch with whom (he is in friendfliip, to substitute a Lord whom Ihe had herfeif disgraced and banished, and who even ob tained his liberty and recal, but on condition of his re nouncing the dutchies whereof he is now put into pofieffion; jf renunciation which has certainly been given, and never been revoked in fqrm . ‘ Dantzig , March 8. Prince Charles of Saxony, after having so long draggled against the power of Ruflia', has at S relent anew obstacle to contend with, the King of Pruflia aving formally declared, by the Sieurlßenoit, his Rcfident at Warsaw, that, in consequence of the engagements con tracted with the crown of Russia, and his having formerly acknowledged Count Ernest as Duke of Courland, he can not now acknowledge any other than him. And his Prus sian Majesty has rurther declared, that as, according to the laws of the country, a Popifh prince cannot hold Courland, he (hall not permit that dutchy to be poiTeff’ed by any other than a Proteitant. The Right Hon. Henry Fox is created Earl of Holland, by the title of Lord Holland. The Right Hon.
