Mr. Johnston, IT has been often, and with too muck truth observed, that, of the many laws palled for the well governing this province, few, it any, are properly attended to, parti* cularly those relating to the town of Savannah. lam loth to suppose that the fopinenefs or negligence of those gentle men, whose duty k is to fee them duly executed, is the oc casion of it: on the other hand, it is scarce reasonable to think that those laws be io defective as to render the execution of them tmpradtfable. Whatever may be the case, 1 hope the legiflarure will, at their next meeting, take it under their confidention, and remedy if possible the evil wherever it may appear to be.
