learn by private letters, that Kerim
gjgSffsyffijrS Kan being gone from Ifpghan to Tauris,
to be there crowned King of Persia, has
. jjKi W IREk destroyed near half the city, in refent

tants; and likewise arrelied four princes
or lords of the kingdom, who have been
sent prisoners to I fpahan. . The troops
attached to thole lords lent a deputation to him to demand
tha liberty of their chiefs, and, upon his refuting to deliver
them, they mutinied and took the route of lfpphan, of
which they have made themselves mailers. It is thought it
will be difficult for Kerim Kan to dislodge them from that
city, which they remained in pofleffion of when the lad ap*
counts came away.
February 5, The four Persian noblemen, who had
risen again ft Kerim Kan, and were carried prisoners to I fpa
han, from whence they were delivered by the troops attached
to their party, have been joined at that capital by Zakir
kam, who h?s also taken arms against Kerim Kan his bro
ther ; but Kerim Kan having, by a forced march, arrived
at.lfpahau before the rebels had time to fortify it, has oblig
ed them to abandon it, but the place was intirely pillaged.
Keriih Kan is in purfult of Zakikam, and the next letter;,
it is thou ght, will bring the news of a battle.
