RETURNS the geutlemen merchants and others of Sa
vannah many thanks for the good encouragement he
received from them in the firft of his setting up his business
in this place, and hopes that they will be good enough to let
him have a continuance of their work, as it (hall be his chief
study to be always deitrving, and merit their kindness and
good character which they have been all along pleased to be
low upon him. He further informs the said gentlemen,
that for the convenience of his work he has taken a large
loft on Capt. Horten's wharf, where he intends his business
ihall be carried on with the utmoll expedition, and at as
reaionable rates as can be expected. ___

WHEREAS an advertisement has lately been putln this
paper against me, by Jacob Strobhard
Grinnea, otherwise Margaret Anoc, concerning the lands
I formerly advertised, this is therefore to inform tne publick,
or whom it may concern, that 1 have been in CharieAown,
and have overfet any pretensions that the said Jacob and
Margaret can have, and that I have brought up with me
Jufficient warning to the said Jacob and Margaret* which
will prove f.itisfadory to my friends, or any body elfc who
(hall pretend to any such frivolous claims as have been hi*
therto laid, and if the said advertisement is not soon remov*
ed, or if any thing of the kind appears for the future, the
authors (hail be prosecuted according to law. And I hereby
acquaint my friends and others, that I have fold to Milei
Brcwton, Esq. of Charlellown, part of the said land, and
have yet about 300 acres for sale, whereon (lands a very good
barn with sundry good dwelling rooms at one end, a good
rice machine, fcveral negroe-houfes, and many other con
venient outbuildings, suitable for a good rice plantation.
Fart of it has lately been planted by the Hon. Jonathan
Bryan, Esq. and on the said land there it plenty of good
cypreft ana Other timbers, suitable for lumber making } a
schooner that will carry 100 barrels of rice may lie and load
at the landing with (afety. This land is about ta mile*
from Savannah, in Puryfourgh townlhip, ir bounded by
Savannah and Back rivers and Apolkie creek, and has fcve
ral convenient knolls suitable for indico, corn, pcafe, and
potatoes*—Whofoever is inclinable to purchase the (aid 300
acres, and improvements, may treat with Mr. Newman
Swallow merchant in Charlellown, or the fubferiber in Sa
vannah, where the proper grant and plot may be seen—A t
the fame time he takes this method of defirmg all thofc it
may concern, not to annoy or trcfpafs on any of the said
buildings, by pulling down or removing them in any tom
whatever, nor to carry lumber or any thing else off the laid
lands without leave, under pain of being PJectcdts the
