Latt Sunday was married, Capn William Johnston, of the Volunteers, son to the Hon. Lewis Johnston, Esq; to Miss Elizabeth Lightenftone, daughter of Capt. John Lightenftone. Tuesday last arrived here, his Ma jesty’s (hip Blonde, Andrew Barclay, Esq; Commander, frotn New-York, but last from St. Augustine, in which came paflenger Major General Leslie. Major Sheriff alio came in the above veflel from East-Florida. We hear from Ntw-York that our troops have evacuated Rhode-Ifland. The KeppeKs tender, which -failed from this place when the French fleet firft appeared on our coast, was not arrived at New York the 2d of No vember, when the Blonde failed. We are told the firft accounts thgy had at New York oft His place being invcfted were from an intercepted letter either to or front Gen. Washington, which mentioned that the Count d’Ef taign, after he reduced this province, was to deliver it into the hands of the Rebels, and then to proceed to the tak ing of Rhode-Ifland. A body of troops, we are told, were embarked at New- York for this place, and were again landed on receipt of the above intelli gence.
