Shepherd, of St. John’s parifli, planter;
were rtfpedively by ballot, and summoned
to appear as Giand Jurors at this Court, as it is
said, but they the laid Robert Reid and Samuel
Shepherd did rcfpeflively negleA to appear at this
Court; it is therefore Ordered, That they be se
verally firseJ in a sum not exceeding eight pounds
sterling, and that a capias do dfue out against each
of them lor such sum as they (hall be severally fined
in, unlcfj each of them do ihew good and luftcient
cause ofexcufe to thi Judge* of this Court, or one
of them-at his Chambers, such excuse to be made
upon oath, before one of the Jukices of the Peace
of this province, within thirty days from the date
hereof, cxdalive of this day. And it i> further
Ordered,. That a copy hereof be inserted in the
publick Gazette of this province. Dated in Court,
the 1 3th day of January, in the year cf our Lord
173 1.

were fcverally drawn by brtttot, and summoned to
appear as Petit Jurors at this Court, as it is said,
but they the said Thomas Gibbons jun. William
Thompson, John Wallace, Matthew Roche, and
John I ;obbs, did refpedlively neglect to appear at
this Court; it is therefore Ordered, That they be
feveral’y fined,in a sum not exceeding four pounds
sterling, and that a capias do iflue againll each of
them for such sum as they shall be relpedtively fined
in, anlefs of such defaulters do Ihew good and
fufficient of exculc to the Judge* of this
Court, or one of them at bis Chambers, such ex.
cu fo to be made on oath, before one of the Julfices

Simon, a tall flout mode fellow, formerly the
property of George Palmer, deceased ; he is ren
dered remarkable by having the end of his nofocut
off.
These two had the smallpox before they went
away, and are a good deal marked with it.
, Cuctjse, a tail Aim fellow, about 20 years old.
York, a flioit thick fellow, about 25 years old.
Primus, a Ihort thick fellow, about 30 years old.
Billy, a Ihort thick fellow, about 3 5 years old.
Johnny, a well made fellow, about 20 years old.
lfaac , a tall fellow, about 20 years old, difablei
in his hands by being burnt when a child, but not
so much bat he can handle an axe or a hoc.
One Guinea will be given for each of the above
Negroes, and all reasonable charges, on their be
ing delivered to Mr. John Charles JLucena at Sa
vannah, o; to the fubferiber in Beaufort. If they
will return to their duty they will be forgiven.
