To those in need of Artificial Teeth.
U 4 u jOW tne to present you my testimony to the excel-
J\_ lenre of the peculiar method Dr. C. S. Putnam, of Ma
rini, has in manufacturing and inserting his Porcelain Teeth.—
I have, in my family, an entire set which has been in constant
anil valuable use for the last six months, to the relief and satis
faction of the wearer. Their superiority is the more highly ap
preciated, from the fart, that they have been substituted for a
set. made at a much greater cost by a professor of thc ait. ma
king much greater pretensions than Dr. P., but whose work has
proved an entire failure, either from the inherent difficulty of
the case, (one of confessedly much difficulty) or front want of
skill in the operator.
ll will be observed, that thc style of Dr. Putnam’s Plate Work
reeds no improving. His teetli used are mauufactnred after
ihe mould of the month requiring them, and the manner of at
taching them to the Plates not only gives greater strength and
lirmness to the Plate, but also prevents particles of food from
lodging about and between them, thus obviating much of the
difficulty in keeping sweet and clean teeth made on the com
mon models. An improvement so important to a large class of
liersons, and giving so much relief and pleasure, l deem of
great value, and very cheerfully and earnestly recommend them
to all neecding Artificial Teeth.” Very respectfullv,
R. H. RAMSEY, Milledgeville.
THE undersigned warrants general satisfaction to all who
wish to test his Artificial work.
I'jf Temporary Plates will be inserted, if desired, soon after
the remains of teeth are removed. C. S. PUTNAM,

JEW DAVID’S HEBREW PLASTER.
r |AHE great remedy for Rheumatism, Gout, Pain in the Side
I. Hip, Back. Litnbsand Joints; Scrofula, King's Evil, White
Swelling, Hard Tumors, Stiff Joints and ail fixed pains whatev
er.
Where this Plaster is applied, Pain cannot exist. It has
been beneficial in cases of weakness, such as Pain and Weak
ness in tlie Stomach, Weak Limbs, Lameness, Affection O’ the
Spine, Female Weakness, &c. No female, subject to pain or
weakness in the hack or sides, should be without it. Married
ladies, in delicate situations, find great relief from constantly
wearing the Plaster.
Thc application of the Plaster between the shoulders has been
found a certain remedy for Colds, Coughs, Phthisic, and Affec
tion of the Lungs In their primary stages. It destroys inllama
tion by perspiration.
The following commendation is from an agent residing at
Trenton, Tenn.:
Trenton, Gibson Cos. Tenn. Nov. 7, ’49.
Messrs. Scovil & Mead —Centlemen : The Hebrew Plaster
is becoming popular in this section. There is a lady in this
county who says she would not be without the Plaster for five
hundred dollars a year. She was afflicted for some time with
an enlargement of thc spleen, which gave her great pain. The
swelling and pain had extended up nearly to the armpit, and
occasionally she could hardly breathe. She was confined for
a considerable time, during which she was attended by some of
our best physicians, hut they gave no relief. She procured a
liox of the Hebrew Plaster, and it relieved her almost immediate
ly, and notv she keeps a supply of it on hand constantly.—
These facts you are at liberty to use as you think proper—they
are substantially true. Respectfully, yours. &c,
JESSE J. WELLS.
Beware of Counterfeits and Base Imitations ! !
Caution.—The subscribers are the only general agents in the
Southern States for the sale of ibis truly valuable Plaster ; and
in order to prevent purchasers being imposed upon by a counter
feit article, sold in this city and elsewhere, for the genuine, they
invite particular attention to the following marks of the genu
ine :
1. The genuine is put tip in smooth, engine-turned bottomed
boxes, soldered in.
2. The genuine has the engraved head of Jew David on the
directions around the box, witli accompanying record of court
to E. Taylor, Rochester.
ALSO TAKE NOTICE
That Ihe genuine has the signature of E. TAYLOR on the steel
plate engraved label, on the top of each box —to imitate which,
will be prosecuted as forgery.
The Counterfeit is coarsely put up, in imitation of thc old

THIS preparation is made as pure as possible. Its by ter taste
and beneficial affects in diseases ofthe Liver, and diseases
arising from an impure state of tbe Blood, prove it to be tbe
purest and most useful preparations of Sarsaparilla tbat is made.
Those who have used the various preparations of Sarsapt
rillo will find, by the taste and effect, that there is more Sarsa
parilla in one bottle of Dr. DV. preparation, than in half a
dozen bottles as it is generally made.
That it might be more particularly adapted to p—frtsinnal
use, nothing but tbe pure SarsapsriH* has been used, that for
different diseases, physicians might eombfne or prescribe with
it, such articles as they might consider most appropriate in
cases under their treatment.
Its alterative and mildly purgative effect upon the bowels,
make it cot only a good substitute for Mercury, but usefuL 13
