bad fixed the salary of the Principal Marshal and prosecutor
fir the year 1852 at 8900. The salary of the Deputy Marshals,

and keep a horse devoted to the duties of their office; said
salary to he reduced or withheld, for neglect of duty, at tlie
discretion of the Council.

Rogers’Syruji of Liverwort and Tar, we have been forcibly
struck with the high public and private character of those who
