ll of ordinary of Jones county, will be sold on the
first Tuesday in December next, before the Court House
door, in the town of Al iriou, Twiggs county, between the
usual hours of sale, that uaiuable plantation lying on
the Oemulgeeßiver about fourteen miles below Macon,
knowu as - ‘Oak Bend,” containing seven hundred and
seventy-five acres, mostly rich and very productive land;
a portion of it is pmey-woods which lies immediately on
the road leading frojn Alacon to llawkinsville.
At the same time and place will be sold two lots of
Swamp Land near by, of rich quality, known as Beach
Ridge, containing four hundred ami five acres, and
which has beep cultivated by the same force as Oak-
Bend. The whole is in first-rate condition and the two
make a very desirable farm, well worthy the at.ention
of farmers. It has all the necessary buildings.
On the day following, wili he sold on the plantation
the stock of all kinds, among which are some of the fintst
mules and cattle anywhere to be found, stock and pork
hogs, and farming utensils of every kind, corn, fodder,
Ac., Ac. Oxen, household utensils, Ac., in short, every
thing that a purchaser of the land will want to enable
him to move his force immediately on it. Sold as the
property of Henry AV. Dorsey deceased. Terms—For
the land a credit of 12 months, and the perishable pro
perty, all sums under ten dollars, cash—over that ]g
months, purchasers giving approved security.
