Not. 8. [COPY.] Mohtkzuiia, Oct., 24th, 1859. Messrs. Ayers. Wingfield ct-Co: • Dsax Sir—Yours of thelSthinst., has been received its contents noted, Ae. In reply to your enquiry in regard to the Manipulated Guano as a fertilizer—l am well pleased so far as I have tested its use. I ap plied about IGO lbs. per acre on land that was badly worn, and not of the best when fresh. The product of the field where the Guano was applied is over 800 lbs. of seed cotton per acre. The same kind of land without the Guano produced about 4Lx. lbs. per acre. My mode of applying the Guano, was 1 d< nositing it in the drill before bedding up the land, i have not triedits use on corn, but have no doubt but it will succeed well. I shall use it pretty extensively on my next crop. Yours R. speetfuHv. [Signed] REUBEN WRIGHT. Bveomvillx, Get. 20th, 1859. Messrs. Ayers Wingfield <t Cos.. Macon.
