sale in a deed to secure debt, made
and delivered by E. W. Bowman to
. L. Brown, dated August 12th, 1919.
and recorded in deed Book 24, Page
571 in the Clerk’s office of Houston
Superior Court, the undersigned, as
transferee from J. L. Brown of said
debt, secured by said deed and of
the property securing the same, will
sell on the 12th day of February,
1925, before the court house door of
Peach county, at public outcry, to the
highest bidder for cash, between the

That tract or parcel of land situated
end being in the city of Fort Valley,
Georgia, and more fully described,
as that tract or parcel of land, with

Whereas on Dec. 7, 1920, William
A. Bassett executed to the John
Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Com¬
pany a deed to secure debt, the prin
cipal sum of which is $8,000, which
deed is recorded in the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Hous¬
ton County, in Deed Book 31, pages
of* and 96 on Dec. 10, 1920 and eon
temporaneously therewith, made and
delivered to said John Hancock Mu¬
tual Life Insurance Co., his promis¬
sory note for the principal sum of
88,000 maturing Oct. 1, 1925; also
five notes, one of which interest
notes became due on each, first day
of Oct. in the years 1921-2-3-4-5.
The above described principal and
interest notes were secured by the
deed heretofore described, in which
deed stipulation is made that, in the
event of failure to pay promptly at
maturity any one of the above des¬
cribed interest notes, that the prin¬
cipal of said debt should at the op¬
tion of the payee of said note become
due and payable from the date of
said default. One of the interest
notes above described to-wit: inter¬
est note for the sun: of $560 that
became due on Oct. 1. 1924. is in
default, same having not been paid.
The above described deed stipulates
that upon the failure of payment of
said notes upon maturity of same,
that the said John Hancock Mutual
Life Insurance Company, is author¬
ized to sell at public outcry for cash,
before the court house door of the

tion shall be Twenty-five Hundred
Dollars ($2500.00), more than 10%
of which has already been paid in in

al was instructed to levy all fi-fas is¬
