Sixth. Petitioners desire the right
to sue and be sued, to plead and be
impleaded, to have and use a common
seal, to make all necessary by-laws
and regulations, and to do all other
things that mny be necessary for the
successful carrying on of said busi
ness , including the right to buy, hold,
and sell real estate and personal

the corporation, and to execute notes
and bonds and other evidences of
indebtedness, which may be incurred
in the conduct of the affairs of the
corporation and to secure the same
by mortgage, security deed, or oth¬
er form of lien, under existing laws.
Seventh. Petitioners desire for said
corporation the power and authority
to apply for and accept amendments
to its charter, either of form or sub
stnn :e by a vote of a majority of
its stock outstanding at the time.

tral eastern Georgia are looking for¬
ward with much interest to the sixth
annual cenrtal eastern regional con¬
vention of the Georgia Baptist Young
People’s Union, which will meet at
Dublin on Thursday, the 19th.
The program is as follows:

NEGRO BOOTLEGGER CAUGHT
Dan McIntyre, colored, heard May¬
or Hale utter the terrible words,
“$200 fine, 30 days in jail, 90 days
on the street gang,” last Saturday,
having been convicted of disorderly
conduct. His house on Griffin Line
was raided. Part of a still and other
paraphernalia of the illicit distiller
and bootlegger were found, with sev¬
eral gallons of liquor, it is said. He
already was under four bonds for
violation of the prohibition law.
