CLASS POEM
By Miss Lima Queen
Like the clear spring air comes
time to us.
Sweet with the scent of the new,
Cool with the memories of
days gone by
Freshened with rain and dew
Times like this mean so much,
They’re new and still they’re old
I will say something about us all
But the whole cannot be told
In Floyd we have a friend whose
was Algebra,
But by honest toil he tops us a
(President of Class).
See what work does for you.
Myrtie—if you need a friend, seek
without delay;
Her help was not gained from books,
but schools, didn’t I say ?
I know you have heard of Veltrie and
Sam,
Our Stars, who go sparking still.
And Susie Mae, the meekest one
Who thinks all boys a pill.
Wyman is the one you need, who is
always here for work or play,
If he would just w-rite a little more
and improve his script a little
way*.
And Fannie, w'ho loves Latin much,
With her it’s quite an ar.t _.
Aijd Frank, you will find is right there
too, if you just tell him how
to start.
Marvin can be comical, when he
doesn’t try at all;
And Quientin might be funny too,
were his mouth not so small.
Music favors our class, you see—
We have Marjorie and Willard there;
Some day they will bring us each re¬
nown, for they are young and
time is fair.
Marvis, we will not soon forget—he
tells us all we know
About the latest news and folks
come and go,
Helen the fair has a heart of gold,
J. W. has a mind as well,
And Edwards is as nice as he is large
—see his head begin to swell.
A. B. has been our joy alway,
ding care and gloom,

all in all.
Edward still a fuss will raise if one
will fuss back at all.
William is not what he seems—he will
make a sober man,
Forgetting his old pranks that he does
when e’er he can.
If expressive eyes you would have— .
Elizabeth will teach you, I know.
Robert, while he talks so much, can
he deliberate and slow.
Delma was once the quiet thing—now
she is fanciful and wild
[Like Ella, who was always the frisk¬
iest, even can be calm and mild.
Gertrude is our gentle one, she is
titled now' you see,
Our ‘Lady’’ she has always been, and
that will always be.
And now that you have heard of us
all, believe the best,
For children will be children, kindness
will take care of the rest.
I, the authoress, would beg that in
your memory we not grow old.
But cherish us that we may keep
fresh in the heart of our “Green
and Gold. • •

So W»» Thi* Good Woman Who TelL
Her Experience.
All too often women accept their
pains and aches as natural to their
sex. They fail to recognize that weak
kidneys are often to blame for that
backache, those headaches, dizzy
spells and that tired, depressed feel¬
ing. Thousands have found new
health and strength by helping the
weakened kidneys with Doan’s Pills
—a stimulant diuretic. This case is
one of many in this P/cality.
Mrs. J. H. Jones, 655 Arch St.,
Macon, Ga., says: *. I had kidney
trouble and . harp, shooting pains in
my back very often. My back was
stiff and it was hard for me to
straighten up, especially after sit
ting. Headaches were common and
often folowed by dizzy spells. My
