Fort Valley Extension of Corporate Limits An Act to Extend the Limits of the City Fort Valley and for other purposes Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Georgia, and it is hereby enacted by authority of same, That i the limits of said City are hereby extended in the following manner and to the extent hereinafter described, to-wit: Commencing at the present limits of said City on the road j leading from the City of Fort Valley to Marshallville aaid limits are hereby extended 20 feet from center on each side of said road, in the direction of Marshallville so as to include a strip of land forty feet wide, the center of aaid strip being the middle of the present road, and said strip extending in a South-westerly direction to the cross streets known as Pear Street on the East side ami as Baird’s Packing House Alley on the West side. Thence from the East side 1 of the Fort Valley-Marshallville Road along j said Pear street and across the land of The Fort Valley High and Industrial School 1465 feet to a point where the land of The Fort j Valley High and Industrial School corners svith the land of the John Houser Estate. From this point the line of incorporation shall extend in a North Westerly direction ! across the land of the Fort Valley High and I Industrial School 775 feet to the N. E. Corner of the G. B. Miller residence lot, thence along the line between the land of said school and the property of G. B. Miller to the road leading from the City of Fort Valley to Marshallville. I., July 14.—Reports that a huso sea serpent that appar¬ ently had been killed when struck by a steamship or other ocean going vessel was sighted off Ferwick Is* land shoal, were made here today by three sea captains. They said the ser¬ pent was at least 80 feet long and 15 feet in circumference. the land within the limits herein described.
