This committee promises the best program that we have
had for quite a long time.
Every member is expected to be present, with a lady.
If you expect to have other guests, please show the right
sort of co-operative spirit by letting the Chairman of the
House Committee (A. L. Luce) know by Thursday night.
We have invited six couples from the Kiwanis Club
of Marshallville, Let’s show our visitors just what a
LIVE outfit we have here in Peach County.
Thursday night (October 22nd) six members, and
their ladies, are invited to attend a Ladies’ Nite at the
Marshallville Club, If you would like to go, get in touch
with Tom Flournoy.
About time to begin making plans for the District
Convention at Albany—November 2nd, 3rd, 4th. If you
have never attended a Convention, you will enjoy being
there. You will find there MEN from all over the State
who are really DOING SOMETHING in Life—men who
amount to some GOOD in their respective communities.
We may be busy and all that, still unless we enter into
the real spirit of UNSELFISH SERVICE, we will never
reach the goal possible thru the teachings and principles
of KIWANIS. Your attendance at the Convention will
give you a higher appreciation of Kiwanis, not only in
Fort Valley, but throughout the State as well. Nothing
better could happen to our local organization lhan to have
fully thirty-five or forty members go to Albany next
month. Upon their return home, I am confident that the
Kiwanis Club of Fort Valley will be a more effective or¬
ganization than ever before. Georgia is rapidly approach
jng the Dawn of a New Day; let’s see to it that Fort
Valley, Peach County, will be found right in the forefront
of ACTIVE COMMUNITY BUILDING and PROGRESS.
Sincerely yours,
E. T. MURRAY,
