Nov. 11).—The people of Macon County went on rec¬ ord here today in favor of a $100,000 bond issue to pave the Dixie Highway through the county. The vote was 1, 052 for and 223 against. The civic organizations in all parts of theh county have been actively en¬ gaged in campaign for the bonds and the tremendous vote in favor of the plan, bears out the results of their work. The highway, 31 miles through this county, will be paved from the Peach County line to the Sumter County line. Peach County will have a bond election soon to connect the paving and carry it through the county. Sumter County has a portion of its highway paved and the remainder will be completed soon.
