Friday afternoon. Guest speaker
was Mrs. McGehee Slappey, who
j spoke on hemerocalles. The meet¬
ing was heid at the home of Mrs.
Virden. After the meeting, mem¬
bers were shown the hemerocalles
in Mrs. Charles Heflin’s flower
garden. Election of officers for

held its final meeting of the club
year on Tuesday, May 5, at 3 P.
M. at the club house.
Mrs. T. A. Jones, president of
the club presided over the business
session.
During the program Mrs. Mex
well Murray and Mr ‘S. Chester
Wilson, members of the local club,
who were visitors at the G.F.W.C.
Convention in Statesboro in April, j
gave some interesting information
about convention activities.
A number of guests were pres¬
ent for the meeting.
