There will be sold on Tuesday,
December 1, 1964, before the Court
House door in Peach County, Geor
gia, during the legal hours of sale,
to the highest bidder for cash,
the following described property:
“All that tract or parcel of land
situate and lying in the State of
Georgia, County of Peach, City of
Fort Valley, and in Groveland
Manor Subdivision therein, Said
property is known and described
as Lot No. 1, Block ‘C’, of Grove
land Manor Subdivision, Fort Val
ley, Georgia, as shown by a plat
of said subdivision recorded in
Plat Book No. 3, page 130, Clerk’s
Office, Peach Superior Court,
Georgia, which plat is incorporat
ed herein and made a part hereof
by reference thereto.
Said property is described by
metes and courses as follows:
STARTING at a point located on
the East side of Knoxville Street
which point is North 86 degrees
57 minutes East, 17.5 feet from
the center line of Knoxville Street
and which point is North 2 degrees
15 minutes West, 1052.5 feet from
the center line of the Southern
Railroad track; thence North 2 de
grees 15 minutes West, along the
East side of Knoxville Street, 110
feet; thence North 86 degrees 17
minutes East, 200 feet; thence
South 2 degrees 15 minutes East,
110 feet; thence South 86 degrees
17 minutes West, 200 feet to the
point or place of beginning.
Located on said property is one
brick veneer house and other im
provements.
Said property and the improve
ments thereon are described in a
plat entitled, “Loan plat for Syd
nor H. Cook, Lot 1, Block ‘C’,
Groveland Manor Subdivision, Fort
Valley, Peach County, Georgia,”
as made by A. O. Brown, Civil En
gineer, on July 19, 1958.

The full amount of deposit for
one set will be refunded to each
general contractor who submits a
bonifide bid upon return of such
set in good condition within 30
days after date of opening of bids.
All other deposits will be refund
ed with deductions approximating
cost of reproduction of documents
upon return of same in good con
dition within 30 days after date
of opening.
Contract, if awarded, will be on
a lump sum basis. No bid may be
withdrawn for a period of 35 days

1963, from Sydnor H. Cook to Se
curity Federal Savings and Loan
Association of Perry, made to se
cure a note payable in monthly in
stallments, which said deed ap
pears of reccrd in the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of
Peach County, Georgia, in Deed
Book ‘Q-l’, pages 315 and 316.
Default having occurred in the
payment of the indebtedness there
by secured, and default having con
tinued for more than five days,
the power of sale in said deed to
secure debt has become operative.
The proceeds of said sale will
be applied as provided in said deed
to secure debt and as provided by
law.
