4 New Wheat Farm’
Applications
Deadline Nears
Farmers who would like to be
considered for a ‘New Farm’ allot
ment for the 1969 chop ef winter
wheat on a farm which does not
have a 1968 wheat Allotment
should get in touch with the ASCS
office during this month, J. D.
Holland, chairman., Agricultural
Stabilization and Conservation
County Committee, said today. Ap
plications for such allotments may
be filed prior to July 1.
As last year, a producer eligible
to file an application is one with
a farm for which no wheat allot
ment has been established and for
which neither the owner nor the
operator has an interest in the
wheat allotment on any other
farm, who has available land and
adequate equipment and facilities
for the successful production of a
wheat crop on the farm, who dur
ing the last 5 years has had at
least 2 years’ experience in pro
ducing wheat, and who as an op
erator expects to receive more
than 50 percent af his current
year’s income from the total pro
duction on the farm (not including
the anticipated income from
produced on a “New Farm” allot
ment.)
Other factors are also involved,
and it is suggested that interest
ed producers discuss the details
with officials at the ASCS County
Office,
The chairman said that formal
application for a “New Farm”
wheat allotment may be made 'by
filing a written application at the
ASCS County Office prior to the
July 1 deadline.
