The passenger pigeon was once

since 1914. Its extermination by
hunters is one reason why many
states have prohibited the killing
of wild pigeons.

PEOPLE PROTECTORS
Did you ever think of ads as guardians of your individuality?
They are, you know.
In a time when the edges are being eaten off our personalities
and we’re all being reduced to card-index numbers, we need to
hang on to some things.
Like our freedom of choice. And that choice is yours only so
long as competition and free enterprise and advertising are
working for you. Guard them. For they stand between you and
a dull and standardized life.
sounded like a good thing.”
“If parrots could vote, this the
year these colorful birds wfould
find themselves the ‘object of a
massive voter registration drive.
I sincerely believe that think

Governor said.

Patio Parties
Popcorn - popping, a popular
pastime at any get-together,
will account for much of the
snap, crackle and pop at patio
parties this summer. New
aluminum electric com pop
pers offer all the fun of pop
ping corn and eliminate all the
mess. Popcorn gets evenly
toasted on all sides, t.hanir* to
the rapid, even heat distribu
tion properties of aluminum.
The aluminum shell has heat
proof legs that won’t scratch
your table, and some units
have clear cover bowls that let
you watch the action, then flip
over to become serving dishes.
Up to four quarts of popcorn
can be made at a time.
