gerbera daisies, yellow iris and
daffodils. Boston ferns formed a

Little Miss Lea Barr and Miss Jill
Barr were junior bridesmaids. They
wore white taffeta tea-length dresses
overlaid in sheer dotted swiss I heir
dresses styled in the fashion of the
bridesmaids were accented at the waist
by an emerald green taffeta sash. Each
attendant wore old-fashioned gold oval
locket which was a gift of the bride,
They each carried white wicker baskets
filled with yellow daffodils, white bells
of Ireland and fern.
I. F Murph 11, father of the groom,
acted as best man Wesley Jones and
Randy Jones, brothers of the bride,
Phillip Murph and Butke Murph,
brothers of the groom; Rowe
Frederick, cousin of the groom; and
Mark Ramsey were us Iter- groomsmen.
They wore dark grey tuxedos.
Mrs Peggy Jones, mot her of the
bride, wore a dress of aqua crepe Mrs

John Dankel attended a two-week
school for cenifkation as an instructor
in Bruaswick. Upon completion of the
course, Chief Dankel became eligible
for certification by the Georgia Peace
Officers’ Standing Training Council
He returned to Fort Valley April 22.

a 40-hour school at the Georgia Police
Academy in Atlanta on the use and the
legality of the use of electronic

Kimberley Rene Rooks will

helping her uncle, Jeffrey Oliver,
to celebrate his own first birthday.

module program focusing on super¬
visory development. The course
requires 480 hours to complete.

are wed
Charlotte Virginia Henderson and
Jonn Wren Pribbenow, both of Athens,
were united in marriage on Saturday,
March 26, at 3 o’clock in rhe afternoon,
at the First Presbyterian Church,
Athens. Georgia. Dr. Charles R Hasty
and Dr. Alex Williams officiated at the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Oneil Butler of Beech Island, S.C, and
the late Frampton W. Henderson Sr.,
of Aiken, S.C. The groom is the son of
Mr and Mrs Robert W Pribbenow of
Fort Valley.
Music was provided by Tom
Granum, organist, and Mrs William
Johansen, soloist.
The bride, given in marriage by her
brother, Dr Frampton W. Henderson
Jr., wore her mother’s wedding gown
of ivory satin featuring a bodice with a
portrait neckline, long tapered sleeves
and a natural waistline The bodice was
accented with embroidery and small
ivory beads The full skirt extended
into a chapel-length train The veil was
a chapel-length mantilla of imported
ivory illusion encircled in Alcncon lace
She carried a flowing cascade of white
roses, stephanotis and English ivy
placed on her white baptismal Bible.
Miss Dee Hammond of Spartanburg,
S.C., was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs Alex Hender¬
son, Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Daniel
Henderson, North Augusta, S.C., and
Mrs. Frampton W. Henderson Jr.,
Columbia, S.C., sisier$-in-law of the
bride; Mrs. James Carlyle, Aiken,
S.C.; Mrs Joseph Glymph. Greenville,
S.C.; Miss Debbie Yulias and Miss
Sandy Yu has, Fort Valley.
The attendants wore hyacinth gowns
of qiana with blousons of chiffon,
spaghetti straps, fitted waistlines and
curved hemlines. They carried
tear-drop arrangements of spring
flowers.
The father of the groom was the best
man Usher-groomsmen were Wayne
Kelley, Atlanta, brother of the groom;
William Burnette, Newnan, cousin of
the groom; Alex Henderson, Colum¬
bia, S.C, and Daniel Henderson,
North Augusta, S C., brothers of the
bride; Ray Clark, Tucker; and Scott
James, Perry.
The mother of the bride wore a
formal watermelon chiffon gown, and
the mother of the groom wore a formal
lilac crepe-de-chine gown.
Following the ceremony a reception
was given by the First Presbyterian
Women of the ('hurch in the fellowship
hall. The bride’s book was kept by
Mrs. James Claxton, stepsister of the
bride.
After a honeymoon in Fairfield
Sapphire Valley, N.C., the couple is
living in Athens.
