Daffodil Days
March 6-12
Fort Valley will get its first touch
of Spring on March 6-12, when the
American Cancer Society's Peach
County Unit sponsors its annual
Daffodil Days.
Volunteers will be bringing this
first spring flower to Peach County
residents to raise funds for cancer
research, education and patient ser¬
vice programs.
According to Ann Kinnett, Daf¬
fodil Days Chairman, hundreds of
daffodils will be shipped to Fort
Valley for the sale. "The daffodil, as
the first flower of spring, was cho¬
sen because it symbolizes hope and
renewed life," she added.
Daffodils will be sold at various
locations throughout Peach
County, including Harvey's Grocery
and Piggly Wiggly on Saturday
March 9. Bouquets of 10 are avail¬
able for S4. Daffodils makes a great
gift.
