Four Peach County High students have been nominated and one recommended for the 1996

Those wishing to have a picture
I.D. card may do so for $4 donation
on Dec. 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 3
p.m.
I.D. cards are very helpful to
senior citizens seeking discounts
available for lodging, entertain¬
ment, and medicine.
We urge all senior citizens to take
advantage of this opportunity to
obtain an ID card. The card may
also be presented for identification
when traveling and to cash checks.
This community service project is
being provided through a joint
effort of the Older Amercians
Council, Fort Valley State College
Cooperative Extension Program,
and Peach County Cooperative
Extension Service.
Timber funds
now available
Funds are now available for Tree
Planting, Timber Stand Improve¬
ment, and Natural Regeneration
Site Preparation.
The major objectives of the F.I.P.
are to establish timber stands for
production, improvement of suit¬
able timber sites, to preserve and
improve the environment, and a
continued yield and management of
private forest lands.
At least 10 acres of eligible forest
land is required for the F.I.P. Appli¬
cations can be obtained through
your nearest Natural Resources
Conservation Service Office.
These funds must be allocated by
the end of November, 1995.
