put in nomination the following gentle-
men:
Col. W. E. Spinks for the house. W. J.
Baker for clerk of the superior court, B,
F. Wheeler for sheriff, and W. N. Andet-
son and Lon Furr for deputy sheriffs.
M. It. Adnir for tax collector, 0. M.
Wlgley for surveyor, and John F. Sum
merville for coroner.
The republican party of tbo county has
■dnee nominated John W. Spinks for
treasure, and James T. Carter for tax
receiver. The democratic convention had
previously pledged Its party’s support to
the men to lie placed on the ticket hy the
organized republicans.

Bennett uccompaied by her children and
little Edna Samlets were out riding.
Near the residence of Mr Johns the horse
became frighten, and ran the buggy down
