HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS.
•There arc many ways,
says the Calhoun Times, in
which ever}' business man can
help his community and help
his own business py helping
the business of his neighbor
when opportunity offers.
Now, whom you want to buy
anything, have anything made
or get anything done it is bet
ter. for you 10 trade with your
neighbors if they possibly can
supply your wants. Indeed, it
is better for you to pay more
for a' less desirable purchase
than to let your money go else
where. Do you believe that?
Perhaps not. But wait—
If you patronize your neigh
bor you help to make him pros
perous. You may not like
him and his ways and all that
sort of thing, but it is better
for you that your neighbors
should be prosperous than that
he should be a pauper. That
is true whether you like him
or not. If lie is prosperous he
will pay more taxes and
thcieby reduce your prorata
part, he will spend more jnon
ey for a living and even if he
docs not spend it with you the
man who gets it may, and you
are directly benefitted.
If your neighbor is prosper
ous lie can build a nice house
and that improves the property
about it and takes off some of
the taxes from your property
If your neighbor is prosperous
lie is able to help liberally ill
the support of the schools, the
churches and other public mat
ters—lie can help you carry
burdens which otherwise you
must cary without his help.
If} ’our neighbor is not pros
perous he cannot help you
carry the burdens of school
church and other matters, he
cannot build nice houses, make
substantial improvements, lie
cannot help carry the tax
burdens for lie has nothing to
pay upon.
If you help your neighbor’s
business you help your own, no
matter who he is or in what
calling he is engaged.

Gentlemen:—FOLEY’S HONEY AND TAR cured me of consump
tion after I had suffered two years and was almost desperate. Three physicians
failed to give me any relief and the last one said he could do me no good. I tried
almost every medicine I heard tell of without benefit until FOLEY’S HONEY
AND TAR was recommended to me. Its effect right from the start was magical.
I improved steadily from the first dose and am now sound and well, and think

The roads of this county at a
great many places are simply dis
graceful. There are not only mud
hi.'es in them that make them
; Inmst impassable, but there are
ruts and deep gullies when once
you are ill from which it would
take a largewrecking crew to ex
tricate you. The grand jury ought
to put in some time looking into
this matter.
