Mr. Berry Dowdy, formerly an

Mills, was run down and crushed
to death by a railroad train in An
niston, Ala., last Saturday night.

doctor has just recovered from a
short, but severe spell of sick

future. Miss Bertha Bone, her

Rev. J. M. Spinks preached an
excellent sermon at the Baptist
church Sunday from the text:
“The prudent man foreseeth evil,
and liideth'himself; but the sim
ple pass on, and are punished.”
The friends of Rev. A. F. Nunn
will regret to learn that lie is still
a very sick man. He is suffering
intensely with rheumatism. We
trust, however, his sufferings will
soon cease, and that he will soon
be out again.
