Through This Space From Week to Week
we propose to talk common sense to the public. It is all to be about Hardware,
Furniture, and such merchandise as we deal in. We may make many
— "
meats, but we shall endeavor to make none that we cannot back up.
We shall avoid the use of the so unmercifully overworked superlative “best and cheapest.” We do not claim to sell the cheapest stuff. We have
labored hard to hold up the standard as dealers in High Quality and Fair Prices, and are glad to note that the people are taking a much better grade of
nearly all goods in pur lines than they formerly did. We claim to have as good connections with headquarters for all the lines we handle as can
possibly be had by
ANY RETAILERS IN THE SOUTH.^—.
We can say truthfully that, notwithstanding our misfortune, (the fire) our having to build, etc., this year’s business so far has surpassed auy previ
ous year. So collecting all on our insurance, and receiving such liberal patronage on the part of the people, enables us to sell goods at small margins.
For the present, however, come to the store for prices on everything from a good farm wagon down to buggies, harness and all leather collars, all kinds
of field tools and carpenter tools, as low down as a hand-saw file.
Bring the women to see the pretty Furniture, Carpets, Matting, Rugs—all brand new. They are all worth the money they cost. Then to see our
Stoves, Crockery, Lamps and Tinware means you will buy some. Hereafter from time to time we shall quote through this space prices on many
staple goods so that the trade will know
m ■ What Goods Ought to Cost.^
We beg to extend our appreciation to the public for their generous patronage in the past, and assure you that we are still better prepared now to
take care of and serve you.
Bobt. Lee, Manager.
Yours truly,
DALLAS HARDWARE COMPANY.

advise all such to go there to re
