A Popular Young Lady Paaaea Away
After a Brief lllneas.
Friday, April 24th, at noon the
spirit of one of our most noble
young women departed from the
body and sought the cclestiul
home with its creator.
Sunday at one o’clock the re
mains were removed to the Meth
odist. church where she had wor
shipped almost, from infancy and
had faithfully presided at the
organ for many years. Every seat
in the church waA taken and
many standing long before the
funeral party arrived, a manifes
tation of the love and esteem
with which her friends und asso
ciates bore for her. Rev. A. F.
Nunn preached a beautiful und
impressive funeral referring to
the sweet, and untiring religious
works of the young lady. There
were no dry eves in the large
congregation during the service
and it was plainly seeu that not
only the family were grief strick
en but. every 0110 felt. the pangs
of sorrow. At two o’clock tlie
remains wen interred at. the com
et ery amidst the grief and tears of
tho family and large assembly:
The floral offerings were many
and beautiful,-and wheti placed
upon the grave concealed every
partion of bare eart h.
Miss Ethel was about. 21 years
of age and was one of the most
popular young ladies of the city
in both social and religious
