The general manager of the telephone
company has prepared the following no
tice to be placed on each telephone in
the Dallas Exchange. It is but right that
that those who use tbe telephone service
should pay for it. Merchants do not keep
store to give away goods; farmers are
not expected to give away their corn; rail
roads are aot expected to • donate their,
tickets; neither should telephone com
panies be expected to give free their valu
able services and facilities. The Gaines-
boro Telephone Company has inaugurated
a fine system here, and should receive the
lull patronage of tbe people.
