New Caanan.
Death has again visited this
community. The grim mons
ter is never satisfied but with
the best, brightest and' most
useful. This time he claimed
Master Chalmers Freeman,
who died on Friday afternoon,
at 6:15, June 2nd. We will
miss him in the Sunday school,
as much as he will be missed
from the fireside. But there
is never a bitter but that has
its sweet. The great eternity
unto which we are drifting,
has opened up to Chalmers in
all its splendor, beauty, bright
ness and blessedness. Weep
not, but rather give peace to
rejoicing, for one other of
God’s lalnbs has wended its
way home.
The members and friends
of the church are requested
to come out and join in a pray
er meeting to folloW Sunday
school on 2nd Sunday morn
ings hereafter. It should be
come an established service.
Starvation is liable to result,
when there is a whole month
between feasts. Too many of
us are dwarfs already, because
of our unfrequent dinings.
But say, are you hustling for
the new church? Don’t dwarf
yourself by inaction in this
matter. Hump yourself.
A number of our young
people went to Austell, and to
Harmony . Grove Sunday.
They report a good time.
Mrs. Robert McWilliams
has been suffering with bone-
felon for several days.
Billey Wisner is very sick.
Notice, Odd Fellows.
