The State Pair.
Atlanta, July 20, 1906.—President
Roosevelt has promised to make a
speech at the State Fair here
next October, and it will he an his
toric address.
Presidents seldom attend Fairs,
and this visit is largely in compliment
to the State Agricultural Society.
The Society extended an urgent Invi
tation to Mr. Boogevelt to visit At
lanta, and United States Senator
Clay presented It so forcibly that the
President consented.
The President will visit his moth
er’s old home at Roswell, Cobb coun
ty, on his Southern Tour.
Editor J. A. Miller, of the States
boro News, who is getting up the
Bulloch county display, will have a
Georgia mountain lion, stuffed, on
exhibition. President Roosevelt has
had many an encounter with moun
tain lions, but he possibly never heard
that they are among the oldest resi
dents of Bulloch county, which was
named for hiH great-grandfather,
General Archibald Bulloch of Revo
lutionary fame.
Twenty-four counties are prepar
ing exhibits for the State Fair.
General Manager Frank Weldon
says: “We count on at least twenty
showing up with exhibits. The im
mense building which was erected by
the Government for the Cotton States’
Exposition will be packed with the
products of Georgia’s farms. This
year’s Fair will really be an Agricul
tural Exposition. It will be a revel
ation to our people, and an education
to visitors.
“If It was not violating confidence*
I could a tale unfold of the prepara
tions being made in some counties
which would amaze you. This will
be the greatest Expo itlon- of Geoig
gia’s agricultural resources and pro
gress ever seen.’’

There is more catarrh in tills section of
the country than any otlu-r diseases put
together, and until the last few years was
supposed to lie incurable. For a great
many years doctors pronounced it a loca
disease ami prescribed local remedies and
by constant failing to . cure with local
treatment, pronounced it incurable.
Science has proven catarrh to be a consti
tutional disease and therefore rs<iuires
constitutional treatment. Hall’s catarrh
cure, manufactured by F. J. Cheney & Co.,
Toledo, Ohio, is the only constitutional
cure on the market, It is taken internal

It sets directly on the blood and mucous
