names of all subscribers who
are twelve months or more in
arrears. Cancellation of tho

we highly appreciate, who aro

would regret to have to erase
their names, but unless all par
ties who ate twelve months or
mote in arrears renew at once,
we will lie forced to drop their
names and proceed to collect
back dues. Consult tho label
on your paper and If you are in
arrears send or bring in the
amount you owe.

THE TIME IS SHORT-FAIR WARNING
Only a short time now until all subscrib
ers who fail to renew their paper will be
dropped from the list. You know whether
you owe us or not—as the date of the
expiration is printed on your paper each
week. We can credit you for one year—
but no longer.
We don’t want to stop your paper, and
don’t believe you want it stopped. How
ever, if you do, pay up what you are already
due or your account will be put out fbr col
lection. It is a just debt and we are bound
to collect it. No one can blame us for want
ing what we have labored for. We have
carried some of you a long time. We have
paid the cash for material and labor in or
der that you might receive the paper, and
now we must have what you owe us.
This is no idle talk. It is a matter we
have no control of—we mean the new post-
office ruling—and we hope all of you will
act promptly, which will save us both
trouble. We never did sue anybody, neith
er do we want to, but unless you come
forward by April 1st and make satisfactory
arrangements you will have to abide the
consequences.
In order to make the matter as plain as
possible we will illustrate it this way: If
you are more than 12 months behind on
your paper on the first day of April, 1908,
we will have to stop it. If, however, you
are not that far behind your paper can con
tinue until the twelve months is out, at
which time you will have to renew. In oth
er words, we can credit *you for only one
year after above date.

BE ACTIVE.
It l eiomes more and more ap
parent as the time for the pri
mary approaches that an effort
is being made to create a senti
ment against the prohibition
measure adopted by the last leg
islature. There is no doubt,
whatever, but that, were it pos
sible, the anti-prohibitionists
would have the law repealed by
the legislature members which
are to be elected this year. The
wave of prohibition sentiment
which arose in Georgia has been
sweeping too widely over the
county to please the liquor folks
and they would be glad to be
able next year to have the law
repealed in this state. This would
give them something to talk
about when prohibition is agita
ted in other sections and other
states.
It is to be feared that manv
stanch prohibitionists who are
well pleased with the victory
which has been won in Georgia,
will lapse into a state of inactiv
ity, thinking that the enemy has
been routed and that there is
nothing else to fear. But it has
been said that “eternal vigilance
is the price of liberty” and it
may as truly be said that the
price of prohibition in Georgia
will be eternal vigilance.
Why, already those liquor men
have talked it into the heads of
some people that the whole finan
cial d’pression, the low price of
cotton and all the recent disturb
ance in the financial world was
caused by the enactment of the
prohibition law in Georgia. Men
who allow themselves to be de
ceived in this;way forget that
the depression has been general,
over the whole county, and that
those cities and states that are
iuled by the liquor interests have
suffered as much as Georgia, and
wish the law to be repealed is
mystery—except in so far as it
can be explained by the fact that
the one who favors the repeal
has been failing to reason the
matter out logically—or has been
misled by some liquor advocate.
Nevertheless it is said tl at there
are some people in Paulding
county who wish to see the law
repealed as soon as possible. Be
sure that these people will make
w‘ at efforts they can to have
their views carried out.
80 far, state prohibition in
Georgia has been a blessing to
the people. There is no law
that will work perfectly, but
this is working as well as the ma
jority of laws and no good reason
can now be found to repeal the
prohibition law.
Some people never fool them
selves more than when they
think they are fooling others.

Women. Tho freshness, tho charm, thn

reasons for this change, lgnoranse and
neglect. Few young women appreciate
tho shock to tho system through tho
change which comes with marriage and
motherhood. Many negleet to deal with
tho unpleasant pelvic drains and weak

that this secrot drain is robbing the check

Dear Sir:—
When any bank tells you that your deposit is insured,
you owe it to yourself to investigate. That bank owes it to
you to show you the insurance policy. Burglary Insurance,

The Board of Directors of the Commercial-Savings Bank by
