Notice.
I want to thank my friends for
the support they gave me in the
election on June 4th. To those
who opposed mo I want to say to
you that I have no malice or ill
will. While we think that some
opposed us because we favored
a white primary. We favored it
because we thought that it
would correct certain evils that
existed. We were opposed by
some because we did not vote to
suit them two years ago. If
they wanted to know why I did
so, they ought to have asked me
and 1 would have told them. No,
the very reason why they kn'ew
how I voted condemns them.
Others opposed me from a mat
ter of choice, and I want to say
boys you did right. I thiuk the
man that defeated me is a wor
thy man and we wish him suc
cess. So I want to say in con
clusion that I am no candidate
now, neither do I know that I
will over be, but the biggest,
longest and widest plana in any
platform is to bo governed by the
great principle of right. With
best wishes to all, I remain as
ever, Oliver M. Wkjlky.
