While there is no special program
arranged, there will he some recita
tions, music, etc., and the patrons
and community are invited.

Emmett Parris, of near Sudle, was
a visitor in our part last week.
The closing exercises of Oak Hill
school wore a grand success with a
large crowd In attendance, llev.
Lewis Pearson gave the opening ad
dress, followed by School Commis
sioner Turner. The school program
was excellent and carried out almost
to perfection. Messrs. Leaman, Hur-
bert and Quincy Parris and Charley
Newman, of Polk county, put the
finishing touch on the performances
with their speeches, dialogues and
clownish actions, which were a treat
to the school and visitors.

Mr. Till Cole was laid to rest at
New Georgia Monday. We extond
our sympathy to the bereaved.
The dentil angel visited the homo
of. Mr. and Mrs. Aslierry Fuller and
took their little son. Ho was laid to
rest at New Georgia. We extond
our heartfelt sympathy to the bo
reaved parents.
Miss Margaret Morgan visited her
sister, Mrs. Butler, Saturday night.

road and broke bis ankle, bruised
his hips and broke three ribs. He
fell 18 feet on some timber. He will
not be able to woik in several months.

and relatives.
G. W. Hardman has just returned
