The new paper, the Dallas Journal, printed its tirst issue last, week. It is a 5-column 8- page paper. Mr. b. N. Brown and daughter, Miss Mkmie, were guests of Douglasviile relatives the latter part of last week. Rev. J. H. Williams filled the regular appointment of Rev. M. F. Lesueur, and daughter, of Roberta, Ca., are guests of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Foster. Dr. W. F. Goldin, of Drake- town, was called in consultation to see Mrs. W. A. Mr. Williams was called to Ren- dalia, Ala., on account of Mr. DeFoor’s death. Scoggins, of Chattanooga, Tenn., spent a part of last week week with Miss Ethel Hudson. Mr. W. J. DeFoor, who died last week at Rendalia, Ala., was a special friond of the writer, and we deeply mourn his death. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved. Mr. Sherman Adair landed in Dallas Monday with a drove of Texas ponies. He has been in the Lone Star state for the past year or so. He was dressed up in regular cow-boy style. Notice.
