Some from here attended the Fair in Gainesville last week, and report a nice time, Col. Davis and family of Toccoa were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. McGee. Mr. and Mrs. Hansel Smith of Buford spent Saturday night and Sunday with the latter’s parents near Shady Grove. Miss Ruth Johnson of Cum ming spent Saturday night at Mr. C. 0. Wheeler’s. Mr. Egbert Shadburn and sis ter spent one night last week with Mrs. Edith Gravitt. Lewis Hamby spent Satur and y night with Alton and Joe Wheeler. Those visiting at Mr. C. O. Wheeler’s Sunday were; Mr. S. J. McGee and family, Mr. F. C. Pilgrim and family, Mrs. W. J. Bennett and Marshal Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Chadwick spent the latter part of last week with Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Dover. The singing at Mr. W. F. Smith’s Sunday night was en joyed by all present. Our singing and Sunday school at Beaver Ruin was well attended, tho’ Mr. Webb failed to be present, for some reason we did not learn. Next Saturday and Sunday are our regular meeting days. Thompson preach ed three interesting sermons at this place Saturday and Sunday He was selected as pasor of our our church for another year, being about 15 years for him at this place. Mr. C. E. Stonecypher and family spent Saturday night at Mrs. R. G. Bnice’s. Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Settle vis-| ited at Mr. J. C. Buice’s Sunday Mr. Troy Buice of Flowery Branch spent Saturday night and Sunday with his father. Mr. C. L. Moulder and fami ly of near Buford spent Sunday at Mr. J. T. Moulder’s. Mr. B. F. Gantt and family spent Saturday night at Mr. J. D. Buice’s. Mr. Frank Spence visited his brother, Troy Spence, Saturday Mr. Fred Settle and wife vis ited Mr. Willis Harris Saturday night. Misses Mattie, Willie, Delpha and Alpha Buice visited their sister, Mrs. B. F. Gantt, Mon day and Tuesday. Nell. I PEA RIDGE. Revs. Vaughan and Nalley preached at Brookwood Sun day afternoon. Mr. Ewell Echols of Atlanta spent Saturday and Sunday in this part. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. F. Har ris spent part of last week in Atlanta. Mr. L. T. Green and family of Norcross spent Sunday in this part. Next. Sunday is singing eve ning at Brookwood. Hill Billy, 1 guess it is french I do talk. Everybody tells me 1 talk folishness, so french seems like foolishness to me. Say, there ure has been a lot of applications put in for me to bite one of those girls for them so I'm going to have the den tist to make me an extra set of teeth. I guess I’ll need hem. Mr. Carson Green spent one night last week in Duluth. Say, Hill Billy, let’s have our meeting sure enough the day of the Fair. If you will loan me that door face you are wearing and put me in the grand stand I asure you I’ll draw a crowd. I am tired of wearing this one I have. Pat.
