Mr. Roy Puckett and wife vis ited at Mrs. Fannie Hansard’s one night last week. The visitors at Mr. J. T. Hen drix Sunday were Misses Azzie and Annie Robbs, Mrs. Mae Hen derson and children. Mr. J. M. Lance is in Jackson ville. Rev. J. W. Thomas visited at Mrs. Mary Boling’s Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. William Hunter spent Sunday at Mr. W. J. Kemps. Mrs. Lou Dinsmore visited at Mr. M. J. Mr. Carl Martin came very near losing a fine young cow last week. Perhaps she will get well now. To lose a cow now wmid he almost like losing a horse. Mrs. W. T. Naiiey who has been seriously sick for some time is somewhat improved at this writing. Mr. W. W. Bales has been troubled with rheumatism. We have been observing a few meatless days, but we are anx ious for the weatherman to send us some cold weather so we can kill a little Duroc that will dress about five hundred pounds. If the Editor will come down then w r e will grease him up a little. Anew preacher comes to us for another year. We trust that he will be in touch with God and will be able to do great things for us. Messrs. W. M. Hunter, Ben jamin Spence, O. P. Ezzard and Jesse Bales will leave next Sun day afternoon for Gainesville, where they go as jurors to the United States Court. Some folks are trying to kick Billy Sunday. They say he is a fake and out only for money. If all his preaching should lead only one soul to God, then he would have done a greater work than some of his assailants I know. Some of the people who eh'im to be converted by his preaching may not hold out faithful, but can we not say as much of any preacher that we know’? Some of the best sermons that 1 ever read are coming to me from Bil ly Sunday. If this letter does not go where all I write should go, I will write some more when I get wound up again. PAW.
